We hope that you enjoy your visit with us and find blessing in the site content. Our congregation is part of a Parish Grouping of the three Church of Scotland Congregations (Park Church, West Kirk and St. Columba).
The membership (550) is drawn form all over the town and surrounding areas. We are a joyful and friendly church family who gladly welcome visitors. From the music through the message to the outreach we have a genuine passion for God and people, their life and family.
Our forefathers have seen the purpose of their Christian discipleship to be for “the glory of God that is connected with the display of His truth, the maintenance of His ordinances, the conversion of sinners and the edifying of the saints.”
We follow in their footsteps by testifying to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, living according to God’s Word and reaching out with His loving care to the wider community. This summer hasn’t been as sunny and dry as many expected it to be. Nevertheless, did you have a nice summer?
For a pleasant time depends a great deal upon what did you make of it? Even a wet, dreich time can be fulfilling and pleasant if one made the most of it.
Constitution Amendments
In order to comply with current charity rules, we require to make some detail changes to our church constitution. Also, it was decided at the last Annual Congregational Meeting (ACM) that the rule about the date of future ACMs be changed (to allow them to be held later into the year). more.....
